Too Busy?
Gunguys:
Great site! I check your opinions out occasionally through links
from Buzzflash & LiberalOasis. I noticed you get a lot of goon
mail in your mail bag. I wish you would comment occasionally. I
find responces to rabid incoheriency both entertaining and informative
(illuminating details of your point of view).
If you're too busy, don't worry about it too much; on this site
it would merely be icing on the cake. It would be nice if some
of those knuckle-heads would actually READ the site, wouldn't it?
appreciative,
J S Benkert

all the mail we received from Mr. Willam Templeton. -- Mike)

On the fence . . .
The Gun Guys site is pretty cool.
I've always been on the fence when it comes to the issue of gun
control. I can see that hunters need guns, but I don't see why
any average citizen should have an assault weapon. As it is, I
can't see letting the wrong people get guns, but I also can't see
how to keep them from getting guns, especially when "good" people
seem to suddenly go bad so often in our society.
I don't think the Columbine killers should have ever been able
to arm themselves like they did, but since they had the apparent
right to do so, then it would have been nice if the janitor or
the principle was known to be packing, so that such suicidal ideas
never have the chance to hatch into the real world. In a free market,
banning guns is impossible, so it makes sense that more and more
people in positions of authority should be assumed to be armed,
to ward off any sort of gunplay that may come from the general
population.
Many times, proponents of gun rights refer to their "right
to bear arms", and to "form militias". This is often
defended with paranoid fantasy scenes of government confisaction
of their beloved firearms, and is epitomized in the famous bumper-sticker
slogan "they can have my gun when they pry it from my cold
dead hands". First off, our Congress is totally bought by
the gun lobby, so your "rights" are safe. Secondly, if
the full force of the US Government was coming down on you, or
even the local police force, you would probably surrender up your
firearm in short order to avoid your own death. What are you going
to do? Shoot a soldier? Shoot a cop? When they take that gun from
you , your hand will be warm and pliant, and still alive. Either
that, or your hand will still be warm, and twitching.
I'm not a gun guy myself. If someone wants to shoot me and my
family, well, I guess we're dead. "Thou shalt not kill" applies
to everybody, even people shooting back. Guns may not kill people,
but they sure make it easy.

morons
Which communist country are you publishing your website from?
You idiots are the reason America has to bail other liberal countries
out from time to time.
I don't have any more time to talk to idiots like you. I need
to go out now and buy a Smith and Wesson .50 caliber, and a .50
caliber Desert Eagle to boot.
You boners can call the cops and wait while the rapists come
to kill your wife. I am calling Mr. Glock and Mr. Colt for an immediate
response.
Fuck you assholes!

Logic according to Aristotle
Hello,
The Founding Fathers gave us the right to "bear arms as members
of a militia".
Item #1 They had a better command of the English language than
the average fellow 'merican today.
The above was a clause, and to chop it up into segments to extract
a different meaning is saying that the Founding Fathers of our
Constitutions were a bunch of ignorant idiots.
Item #2 The writers of our Constitution were dealing with flint
lock, muzzle loading weapons. If the claim of advancing technology
is to be applied, then A. there should be a ban on all modern weapons
or B. we ought to have the right to own 50 cal machine guns, up-t-date
gatling guns, missle batteries, handgranades, you name it.
Judging from the activities and writings of our Founding Fathers,
they did not envision a society of morons shooting up the neighborhood.
Yet that iswhat urban America has turned into, thanks to criminals
heading the gun manufacturing sector, who produce concealable weapons
that resist fingerprints, and corrupt legislators and judges who
approve of this insanity.
It is high time someone hits these characters over the head with
the truth as written by wise men of yore: "The right to bear
arms AS MEMBERS OF THE MILITIA", not " The right to bear
arms" while truncating the rest and sending it to the dust
bin. Someone teach lawmakers English, please.
